When we talk about the criminal and political dynamics in Brazil, the state of Goias is not often mentioned. However, even though it is not on the agendas of researchers or major news outlets, the region has been the stage of important discussions in the area of public safety. It is there where a project to expand the logic of surveillance through the use of facial recognition cameras has been implemented. In this report, we will explainall the steps ofthe project, its possible causes and results.
